Twelve months ago, A Lifetime Of Wisdom was just an idea with a big mission:
to fight isolation by giving older people and those with mobility challenges freedom, connection and a voice.
What we didn’t fully understand at the time was just how difficult fundraising would be.
We knew it wouldn’t be easy. But we underestimated the emotional rollercoaster, the rejections, the long waits, the almosts and the moments where it felt like progress had stalled.
Yet here we are.
After a year of hard work, persistence and belief, our very first Trishaw bike has finally arrived in Blackpool and the Fylde Coast.
And honestly, it feels surreal.
”More than a bike: a symbol of connection and dignity
We would not be here without the incredible support of Cycling Without Age England.
From day one, they have been generous with their time, advice and encouragement. They helped us navigate the fundraising process and played a huge role in bringing the first Trishaw to Blackpool and the Fylde Coast.
Their belief in our mission reminded us that collaboration is just as powerful as funding.
